Whole foods are foods that nature provides with all their edible parts and the benefits come from these combinations of compounds and nutrients that work better together than apart.
We have managed to lock in these valuable whole food nutrients, without the need for refrigeration, preservatives or additives, to provide you with healthy and versatile convenience to support your nutritional, health and creative cooking aspirations.
Using a method of preservation, called Freeze-drying (sublimation), raw foods are quick frozen and gently dried to retain much of the original flavour and up to 98% of the nutritional value.
Unlike other types of preservation techniques that may use a heating method that will damage some of the goodness, or those that contain preservatives, fillers or stabilizers,– our products only ingredient is the whole ingredient itself.
This means that you get only what nature intended for you.
Dehydration and Freeze-drying both seek to remove moisture from food, however the methods are vastly different.
Dehydrators use heat to evaporate water, whereas Freeze drying uses vacuum freezing (a process called sublimation) to gently remove water, without damaging the food and the delicate vitamins and essential phytonutrients.
This allows the food to retain its original shape, texture and concentrated taste. Freeze dried products are generally more expensive than Dehydrated equivalent products, but are way superior in every other aspect.
