    Fun Facts

Red Bell peppers are simply green bell peppers that have been left on the stalks to ripen
The Bell pepper is the only member of the pepper family that does not produce capsaicin, the chemical that can cause a strong burning sensation when eaten!
The Bell pepper has many different names – in Japan, they are called Papurika while in Australia they are called Capsicum and the British simply call them peppers.
