Packing your Backpack
Let's begin with saying theres no one right way to pack a back pack. Packing is a sort of skill that you practice over and over again until you find the best method for you.
With that being said, here are some tips to help you avoid making some mistakes along your journey.
Packing can be broken into 3 zones: bottom, core and top.
BOTTOM: Bulky items (Things you won't need while walking)
- Sleeping bag
CORE: Heavier items
- Cooking kit
TOP: Essential items you need while on the trail - things you can easily access
- Rain jacket
- First aid kit
- Toilet paper
There are also accessory pockets: Perfect for smaller items that you can grab while on the move; sunblock, water, snacks, lip balm, headlamp etc.
